Within the Marketing Department, the Senior Marketing Coordinator will be in charge of coordinating all the marketing activations for Team Vitality.

In a with a “Strategic Planning” position, his / her key missions will be planning and directing Marketing organization strategic direction & operations.

Main point of contact of the marketing organization
  • Receive briefs from all BUs (Merchandising, Diversification, Partnerships, Content…) or partnered tournament organizers
  • Check consistency with Marketing Plan and players relevance with Esport team (availability, priority)

Il sera responsable du lancement des jeux vidéos, en mettant en œuvre la stratégie commerciale et la stratégie Communication / Marketing du studio. Descriptif du poste 

Le poste s’articulera autour de ces différents axes : 

  • Définition du positionnement et de la cible de chaque jeu mobile développé par le studio.
  • Conduite d’études de marché et définition de stratégies commerciales :
    • Identifier des acteurs culturels ou du divertissement porteurs de projet dans une stratégie de prospection commerciale,
    • Participer à la mise en place d’offres commerciales conformes avec l’expertise du studio et sa vision stratégique,

Backend Engineer

Job Description

Overview

Our client wants to create a team with a strong craftsmanship culture: a team made of people who help each other progress and constantly improve their skills and practices to deliver software that delights their users at a fast and sustainable pace.

What you will do

Your mission is to design, develop and improve backend API services for upcoming game: Stories One.

No prior experience in Video Game development is required. For your information, this backend is written in Go as gRPC services, deployed as containers and runs in a Kubernetes cluster in Google Cloud, but the team do not require prior experience with these technologies, only that you’re interested in working with our stack.

Some of those backend services are pretty classic, such as:

  • Authenticating users with OAuth2,
  • Allowing players to customize their profile and avatar,
  • Keeping track of player progression, score and level,
  • Moderation,

Others are more peculiar to online video games:

  • Spawning and configuring game worlds made of multiple dedicated game servers,
  • Saving and loading backups of the world’s state,
  • Routing players to the appropriate game server upon connection (“matchmaking”),

During the upcoming months, we expect this backend to grow with new features:

  • An “achievement” and notification system based on message queues,
  • In-game purchase transactions,
  • And much more…

The team work in close cooperation with the game development team, in a fast iterative fashion that allows us to experiment a lot and adapt as the game design evolves. As a result, 100% of the backend has been refactored and improved at least once during the past year.

Also, as we are a small team working on an ambitious project, various optional “side quests” are available, according to your preferences and motivation:

  • Developing features for our community’s Discord Bot
  • Developing custom Kubernetes resources and controllers
  • Developing UI tools for admins, moderators…
  • Ops: maintaining our observability layer, automating the infrastructure…

Skills & experience

Self-taught developers are welcome, provided that you have projects on github/gitlab, or a portfolio to share with us.

  • Être un acteur clé dans le développement du jeu & de ses NFTs.
  • Création d’assets de communication basés sur les conceptions du jeu
  • Création d’avatars d’animaux, dans un style orienté Cartoon, modifiables par les utilisateurs.

Responsibilities

Main activities of the position:

  • Check the implementation of the animations and identify the improvements to be made
  • Create animations based on keyframes or dynamic animation (engine)
  • Continuously deliver, learn and iterate on our product
  • Actively collaborate with teams to create a great gaming experience and game
  • Support teams in integrating animations and help make the right adjustments

As a person, you are:

  • A team worker eager to learn new things
  • Familiar with Agile methods and principles
  • Detail-oriented, outgoing and a good communicator
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Fluent in English, both speaking and writing (French is a plus but not mandatory)

Qualifications

Our requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience as a 3D animator
  • A thorough understanding of the principles of animation.
  • A good perception and transcription of animal body mechanics.
  • Extensive experience with 3D animation tools (3ds Max, Maya, Motion Builder…)
  • Experience with rigging and skinning
  • Have a great understanding of quality vs gameplay
  • Be autonomous and proactive
